The official JoomGallery extensions list helps users find reliable extensions for JoomGallery and gives contributing developers a platform on which they can distribute and sell their own products.
Extensions included in this list are developed by independent developers. Before an extension is listed, it is reviewed against defined requirements for code quality, compatibility, maintenance, updates and community involvement.
About JoomGallery friends
JoomGallery friends is a loose community of JoomGallery users and developers. Together, they maintain and improve the free JoomGallery base component and contribute to the project through development, testing, translations, documentation, forum support and other community activities.
Development takes place publicly through the JoomGallery GitHub repositories. Contributions are made voluntarily by members of the community and are combined into the installable JoomGallery component for Joomla. The component identifies JoomGallery::ProjectTeam as its author.
JoomGallery friends provides the platform used to publish and distribute the free JoomGallery base component. The project content and its legal and administrative management are handled by tech.spuur, a Swiss sole proprietorship. See Imprint.
Why official extensions are listed
Independent developers may create plugins, modules, templates and other extensions for JoomGallery. These extensions may be offered free of charge or sold commercially.
These developers contribute voluntarily to the JoomGallery project. They may contribute source code, review pull requests, translate language files, test new releases, help users in the forum, improve documentation or support the project in other ways.
The official extensions list gives these developers a platform to make their extensions visible to JoomGallery users, build a sustainable business and receive something in return for the time and expertise they invest in the JoomGallery component and its community.
JoomGallery friends does not offer competing third-party extensions of its own. Instead, it provides the official extensions list, which is displayed directly in the JoomGallery control panel and on this website.
What the official list means for users
Every listed extension must meet the requirements described below. These requirements are intended to give users confidence that listed extensions:

- are actively maintained by their developers; and
- are created by developers who actively support the JoomGallery community.
The review does not replace the user's own assessment. Before installing or purchasing any extension, users should also check out the extension by themselves.
